- Never used to train AI models. Conversations are encrypted at rest, and you can delete them whenever you like.

Is Maybe Today really private?
Yes. Your notes and Guide conversations are encrypted at rest, the app can be locked with Face ID, Touch ID or your passcode, and notifications are discreet unless you choose otherwise. There are no ads and no tracking, only anonymous usage counts you can switch off, and we never sell data. The full details are in our privacy policy.
Does my partner see my check-ins?
No. Your partner never sees whether you answered not today, maybe or yes. They can see that you've checked in today, and if you both said yes, you both see a match. Your ratings, tags and notes on a moment are private to you as well, even when the moment is shared.
What does the AI see?
Nothing, unless you turn Maybe Today Guide on. When you do, Maybe Today shares the context it needs to coach you: your stats, check-ins, moments including notes, and the conversation itself. It's sent to our AI provider, Google (the Gemini API, on the paid tier), to generate replies. Google doesn't use it to train its models, and you can withdraw consent in Settings at any time. Your partner never sees your Guide chats.
Is Maybe Today only for couples?
Maybe Today is for anyone in a relationship, and it's built to be useful on your own first. Everything you need to log moments, check in and understand your rhythm is free and works solo. Connecting with a partner is optional and part of Plus.
How is my data stored?
On secured servers, encrypted in transit (TLS) and with sensitive text such as notes and Guide messages encrypted at rest. Only the people who need to run the service can access the infrastructure, and we keep data only as long as your account exists. See the privacy policy for our service providers and retention.
Can I delete everything?
Yes, at any time. In the app, go to Profile, then Delete account. You can also delete your account on the web. Your account and everything you've logged are permanently removed. If you'd like a copy first, use Export my data in Settings.
Does my partner need to pay?
No. One Plus covers you both. When either of you subscribes and you connect, you both get every Plus feature: shared moments, Desire Match, teases and Maybe Today Guide. If that subscription ends, your connection pauses rather than disappearing: your history stays, and shared features come back as soon as either of you renews.
Who is Maybe Today for?
Adults aged 18 and over. Maybe Today talks about closeness and desire in a warm, discreet way and never shows explicit content, but it's built for grown-ups, so you'll confirm your age when you sign up.
Can I cancel Plus anytime?
Yes. Plus is a monthly or yearly subscription with a 7-day free trial, billed through the App Store or Google Play. Cancel in your store's subscription settings at least 24 hours before renewal and you won't be charged again. Your free features and everything you've logged stay. How to cancel.
What happened to Maybe Today?
It’s still here, rebuilt from the ground up as a calmer, more private journal. If you used it before, update the app and sign in as usual. The daily “Maybe today?” check-in kept its name.
